Greek milk chocolate with no added sugar sweetened with stevia

The siblings Dimitris and Evangelia Kollia have been running their chocolate factory in a stately property in the olive groves near the Corinth Canal for 20 years. Greece may not be known for its chocolate tradition, but coming from a family of confectioners, the two have developed a high level of expertise in chocolate making. But what particularly distinguishes their Kallisti manufactory is their imagination, innovative strength and love of experimentation. They have already won a number of prizes. They source as many of their ingredients as possible from Greece.

Then, 10 years ago, they started exploring chocolate with no added sugar - "to restore the reputation of sinful chocolate!"

Our 6 flavors are all sweetened with maltitol and Greek stevia. In terms of taste, they do not have to hide behind the best Belgian or Swiss chocolates. The melt on the tongue is particularly special. Both the whole milk and the dark chocolate with 67% cocoa content melt on the tongue after the first bite without sticking. Congratulations to Dimitris and Evangelia: We hardly know of any chocolate with no added sugar that has worked so well.

Excessive consumption can have a laxative effect.

INFO: The polyol maltitol, which is used here for sweetening, is not without controversy (it must also be listed as a carbohydrate in the nutritional value table, although the insulin effect is almost = 0), but there are only a few who have problems with it (e.g. increased bowel activity). However, chocolate should not be consumed in large quantities.
