Wheat gluten is a natural product. It is made by almost completely separating the carbohydrates from finely ground wheat flour. What remains is almost pure protein.
This wheat protein is the substance that gives all baked goods their shape and color. It is a functional ingredient and important for the consistency of the baked goods. With -carb wheat gluten, low-carb fans get the opportunity to bake bread or cakes in combination with almond or other low-carb flours, for example. Wheat gluten is also ideal for making pasta or dumplings. You can also thicken sauces with it.
-carb wheat gluten is manufactured under strictly controlled conditions and regularly tested for quality. It is made in North Rhine-Westphalia exclusively from German wheat. While 1 kg of our previously sold gluten made from imported wheat easily fit into our 1.6 liter bucket, our new quality is so fluffy and fine that we had to reduce the pack content to 750 g. The protein content is particularly high, the carbohydrates are almost completely washed out.
