Soy is one of the oldest cultivated plants. The first evidence of cultivated beans from China is already known from the 3rd millennium BC. Soy is actually the oldest low-carb food. The soybean was valued above all for its high protein and oil content. The protein quality of the soybean is the only plant comparable to that of animal protein.
Soy has fallen into disrepute due to the genetic modifications that the Americans made to the soy bean.
Our soy bran comes from Austria. Burgenland is one of the few climatic regions in Europe where soybeans thrive. It is of course non-GMO.
Soy bran is the shell of the soybean. These have a particularly high fiber content and are ideal for baking bread. They loosen up the bread and are also very attractive in terms of taste.
