-Carb macadamia flour gives your low carb baked goods a special taste.
The macadamia nut is considered the king of nuts. It comes from Australia and is originally the nut of the Aborigines.
-carb macadamia nut flour is made from macadamia nuts, which have had some of their oil extracted after a special and particularly gentle pressing process (similar to wine pressing). However, the proportion of particularly valuable monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids is still almost 30%, so that the typical nutty-buttery taste of the macadamia nut has been largely retained.
This flour was produced by a small, still artisanal oil mill in Austria. With 15% carbohydrates, it has a little more carbs than our other flours, but it is a particularly attractive flavor carrier for low-carb pastries. It is best to mix it with other flours. We like to mix the macadamia flour with the almost carb-free flaxseed flour.
In addition, the nuts contain magnesium, phosphorus, calcium and B vitamins, which are responsible for healthy bones and strong nerves.
Due to the slightly higher fat content, this flour is ground a little more coarsely than our other flours.
