For a long time we were very skeptical about including hemp flour in our range. All the products we tried didn't really convince us. On the one hand, the protein powders didn't have that few carbohydrates (8%), on the other hand, the taste was pretty poor and the baking properties aren't that great.
Why use hemp when you have great flaxseed? And the prices for hemp protien as a Hipp product are astronomical!
A Dutch dealer from whom we were able to obtain quite good hemp flour a year ago proved to us that there is another way.
Now we have got to know a German manufacturer who produces cold-pressed hemp oil from whole hemp seeds in a very gentle way. This results in a hemp flour whose taste convinced us even more than that of the imported goods: strong nutty and spicy.
Our hemp flour is therefore not a tasteless bodybuilder high protein product, but a tasty flour with balanced protein and lots of fiber. And it's also great for the consistency of the bread dough.
And the price was such that we were able to lower our already quite low price for the Dutch hemp flour even further.
