About the funders od crunchyx and l-carb shop
l-carb-Shop is a shop that was founded by us, Susanne and Daniel Schaaf. We ourselves have been living low carb for over 10 years. From my own experience that low carb ingredients are hard to come by, you can never be sure of the quality and "pharmacy prices" are charged for them, the idea of setting up the l-carb-shop came up in 2013. Our new brand crunchyx followed in 2022 with mainly low-sugar breakfast products.
Our mission is to offer the best products for low-sugar nutrition and low-carb cuisine at reasonable prices.
We obtain almost all of our products worldwide directly from the manufacturer. only in very few cases are there intermediaries. The prerequisite for a product being included by us is not only a low carbohydrate content, but we also test all products extensively ourselves. Only what we really like is included in the range. Another criterion is that we prefer to buy from small and artisan businesses where the owner also knows something about his products. When we shop overseas, we make sure to buy products from fair trade and small farms wherever possible. Of course, all our products meet the highest standards in terms of food technology.
We now manufacture some products ourselves or have them produced to order
Our multicultural team currently consists of 11 employees from 7 different countries. In doing so, we strive to live up to our social responsibilities. Long-term unemployed people are given the opportunity to return to work with us, and we try to make it easier for single mothers to combine work and raising children with a flexible working time model. Since this year we have an apprentice.
Since September 2017 we have also been running the shop www.fair-shea.de, with which we are supporting a development aid project in West Africa.
We have been training since 2018.
environment
We also take our responsibility towards nature seriously. In addition to a number of energy saving measures, we installed a 10 KW solar system in June 2017, which generates around 60% of our electricity requirements over the year in a climate-friendly manner.
